Congratulations to all 4 teams who qualified to play in the final of the Winter Tournament on a bitterly cold but dry day today (Sunday 25th). Coughlan, Rory Mulvey, John Westman, Barbara Kearney & Ann O'Brien) and Offaly (Pearse McCarthy, Tony Sweeney, Paul Davy, Vincent Clarkin, John White & Aideen Murphy) finishing on equal points but Dublin achieved first place after a count back with Offaly (who led throughout the winter and spring) coming second. Kildare (Jim Nix, David Jamieson, Patrick Hagin-Meade, John Regan, Bernie Barry & Maeve McNally) finished third while Louth (Dan Meaney, John Murphy, Martin Jones, Barry Donnelly, Charles Durkin and Liz Fahy) finished a very creditable fourth despite the handicap of having one of their members unavailable on the day. A special word of thanks to former Captain Dan Meaney for organising the event, keeping track of the scores over the entire tournament and procuring the prizes for today.
