SLOW PLAY
We have been asked by our members to draw your attention to the matter of Slow Play.
It is a rule of golf that you play at your designated tee time:
Rule 5.3a states that golfers must tee off at the exact time of their allotted tee time, no earlier or no later. If a golfer tees off less than five minutes early, they receive a general penalty, which is two strokes. It is the same if a golfer tees off less than five minutes later, too.
However, if a golfer tees off more than five minutes earlier or later than the allotted tee time, the player is disqualified.
All players should strive to complete 9 holes of golf in 1 hour 45 mins - This is very important once we go to 18 holes – as delays get progressively worse during the day.
NB Please bring sand bags and/or replace divots and pitch marks on the green.
