EGM
A reminder that there is an EGM on Thursday 16th March at 7.30pm. We look forward to seeing you at this important event
COURSE INFORMATION
1. The area of new trees to the left of the 6th/15th will continue as GUR (Ground Under Repair) until otherwise notified.
2. Out of Bounds on 8th / 17th. For players playing the 8th / 17th, the internal out of bounds is marked by white stakes, two at the beginning of the area and two at the end. DO NOT remove or interfere with any of these white stakes. Relief must be taken from the stake, no nearer the hole.
3. PLEASE PLEASE repair divots and pitch marks, even if they are not yours.
SAFETY NOTICE
Due to safety considerations, the Joint Committee has reintroduced an internal Out of Bounds for those driving off the 8th / 17th tee boxes. White stakes have been placed along the edge spinney on the 9th fairway. DO NOT REMOVE these stakes. Playing the 8th hole there is no relief from these markers, Rule 14.7. Playing the 9th hole, relief, without penalty, is to be taken if the marker interferes with your stroke under Rule 16.1.

It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of Watty Sullivan, who was an important and frequent presence in KGC in the early days of our Club. Thank you to Larry Halpin for this brief tribute.
“Watty was coach in KGC at the start of the club. He also coached the pupils in the college & helped design the present course. He was a true gentleman. As a teacher he emphasised the basics of golf in plain language: "You don't hit the ball. The ball gets in the way of the club." Watty was always very generous with his time. A half hour lesson could easily last for two hours with a few holes played afterwards. He was always more interested in helping you improve your game than earning the fee for a lesson. A great golfing character. RIP.“
