The ladies Bloom Team went to Dunlaoghaire, Tuesday 8th May, having won a match and halved a match so all square! In sunny, but very blustery conditions the second two pairs lost their matches, resulting in the third match ( which was one up going up the 17th hole) being called in.
The ladies are loving the new outdoor furniture in KGC this weekend!
The Ladies Bloom match 1st leg was played in KGC today, Thursday 3rd May. One match was won, one lost and one halved.
Huge congrats to Revive Active team who beat Hermitage 3-2 yesterday. All 5 matches had to be played away due to flooding in KGC. Travel time to Hermitage took almost 3 hours due to road closures following an accident and the matches started over an hour late. KGC were not affected by the absence of ANY putting practice time and the final match finally holed out on the 18th at 9:20 in darkness! Great work ladies.
It was all happening this weekend .... three of our teams played Saturday & Sunday -
Hard luck to our Junior Foursomes team who lost out to Elm Park today in Bray in cold and misty conditions.
Fri 13th April - Junior Foursomes v Elm Park in Bray GC at 1.30
Well done to our Men's All Ireland Fourball on a convincing victory on Easter Sunday against Lisheen Springs. The two matches at home were won and when the men secured a win away, the remaining two pairs were called in even though both were in a winning position at the time.
After weeks of snow and frustation, the Captains arrived in flying style on a glorious spring sunny day. Best of luck to the Captains Emily and Jim.
The Irish Mixed Foursomes Team lost out narrowly to Druids Glen in their mixed foursomes match on 25th March 2018. With three matches away and two at home it was always going to be a challenge to make it through. However after a win away in Druids, one win at home and a match going up the 19th in KGC we had a fighting chance. Luck was definately on Druids side when a second shot across the water, heading out of bounds, hit a tree and bounced back onto the fairway! So close! We are looking forward to next year already!
